Goals and contents
Isokinetic dynamometry is considered the gold standard for standardized diagnostics of the strength capabilities of different muscle groups. In recent years, eccentric strengthening and diagnostics have gained enormous importance in competitive sports. These two components also play a major role in recreational and health sports in injury prevention and rehabilitation. The present project deals with the training and diagnostics of the knee (knee extensors & flexors) and hip circumflex (hip flexors) musculature in competitive (mainly bobsleigh, track and field, handball) and recreational athletes (mainly cruciate ligament patients) aged 14-40 years. The main focus is on performance optimization, injury prevention and rehabilitation. Using practical joint angle positions, contraction modes and evaluation parameters, training, prevention and rehabilitation measures will be accompanied and their effectiveness reliably and validly tested.
