Research Internship in Sport Psychology

(Full-time, part-time, or alongside studies)

The Department of Sport and Exercise Psychology is seeking motivated interns to join our team at the earliest possible date.

We are looking for students (m/f/d) with an interest in sport psychology and sport science research more broadly. Applicants should have a background in either psychology or sport science (minimum: third semester of study). We value teamwork, independence, and motivation to actively contribute to the further development of the Department of Sport and Exercise Psychology.

We offer a welcoming and motivated team, exciting insights into research at the Institute of Sport and Sport Science, and the opportunity to work independently while developing valuable research-related skills.

Responsibilities

The internship may involve the following tasks:

  • Assisting with research projects within the  Department of Sport and Exercise Psychology (e.g., data collection with children and adolescents)
  • Supporting data preparation and data analysis
  • Contributing to research on sport psychological assessment and diagnostics

Technical skills and an interest in empirical research are desirable.

Current Research Projects

At present, internship opportunities are primarily available within the following two projects:

  • Move for Health (A large-scale project investigating the mental health, physical activity, and sport participation of children and adolescents using representative data)
  • PhD Project of Niklas Poß (focusing on the assessment of physical self-concept during childhood)
