About the person
Research focus:
The overarching goal of my work is to elucidate the underlying mechanisms of the health-promoting effects of physical exercise and to transfer them into humans in order to develop and optimize targeted and population-specific training programs and recommendations. In detail, I am focused on the influence of various acute and regular physical exercise modalities on biological and health endpoints, with a focus on tryptophan metabolism and its interaction with the immune system.
