What does the university sports offer?

The University Sports organizes a diverse and varied sports program for students and staff. Thus, the University Sports creates a perfect balance to the student's everyday life.

Sports offer

The sports program of the University Sports includes more than 300 weekly courses in over 80 sports. We have the right course for everyone! Mondays to Fridays from 4-11 pm our sports program take place, the majority directly in the sports building on the North Campus. Our sports card, which entitles you to participate in most courses, costs € 20 per semester for students, € 30 for staff and € 70 for external people. For selected courses, e.g. tennis or yoga, additional costs may apply.

Gym Fitnessförderwerk (FFW)

With the Fitnessförderwerk, the University Sports operates its own modern gym directly on campus. The FFW is exclusively for students and staff of the TU and FH Dortmund and offers individual training possibilities, an outdoor area, fair prices, qualified staff and the direct proximity to the university. Students pay 21,00 € per month, staff 26,00 €.

Competition

The University Sports not only offers an extensive sports program, but also organizes various sports events and coordinates participation in competitions, e.g. the German University Championships.

Campus run and campus league

In spring, a large annual campus run is held with distances ranging from 2.5 km to 10 km. In the Campus League, up to 24 teams play for the Dortmund soccer champion in summer and winter.

University Sports as an Employer

The University Sports team currently consists of thirteen employees. In addition, about 180 exercise instructors move the participants. Especially for sports students, the University Sports offers a variety of opportunities for part-time jobs. Whether as a student assistant or exercise instructor.
